LUKE KEMP

With over 35 years of experience as a property and commercial lawyer, and over two decades running his own practice, Luke pairs formidable legal knowledge with an approachable and practical way of working. Beginning practice with Russell McVeagh, Luke has practiced alongside some of New Zealand’s most senior counsel during the course of his career. The needs of families are of great concern to him, and his meticulous attention to detail ensures individual clients’ needs are catered for through individually crafted solutions.

Luke attempts to create legal solutions through negotiation and mediation wherever possible, thereby saving clients the time and expense of entering into formal court processes. He finds it most rewarding to see his clients succeed in their given endeavours, and takes a personal interest in encouraging his clients to achieve their goals.

 

Luke has also given his time and legal expertise over the years to a variety of community organisations, including Women’s Refuge and Citizens Advice Bureau.

JOSEPH ROBINSON

Joseph is an admitted Barrister and Solicitor with a strong academic record and a passion for legal research.  Joseph has experience with a wide variety of matter's including relationship property disputes, protection order proceedings and employment  matters.

Joseph brings professionalism from his three years of service in the  New Zealand Defence Force.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Māori Studies and is comfortable reading and writing in Te Reo Māori.

Joseph's approach to legal work is fresh and enthusiastic.  Outside of work, you'll find Joseph surfing, walking in the mountains, or learning to dance.  He spent two months in 2023 walking the length of the South Island From Cape Farewell to Bluff.

JOSEPH THORNS

Joseph recently graduated with a solid academic background and a passion for the law and is set to be admitted to the Bar later in 2026.

As a law clerk, Joseph has swiftly established a record in a range of matters, including drafting and reviewing legal documents and assisting in various property, employment, relationship and financial matters.

Joseph has extensive experience in research and debate through his involvement in politics and is a youth leader at his local church.

Joseph enjoys keeping both mentally and physically sharp, in his free time he enjoys pumping iron at the gym and playing acoustic guitar.

SHARON PARSONS

Sharon is the Practice Administrator and brings with her many years of administrative experience across a range of roles. She is highly organised, dependable, and plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day operations.

 

With a strong attention to detail and a proactive approach, Sharon supports both the team and clients by keeping systems running seamlessly and creating a well-organised, welcoming environment.

A long-time resident of Kumeū, Sharon has strong ties to the local community.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family, cooking for loved ones, and exploring the great outdoors.
