LUKE KEMP
With over 35 years of experience as a property and commercial lawyer, and over two decades running his own practice, Luke pairs formidable legal knowledge with an approachable and practical way of working. Beginning practice with Russell McVeagh, Luke has practiced alongside some of New Zealand’s most senior counsel during the course of his career. The needs of families are of great concern to him, and his meticulous attention to detail ensures individual clients’ needs are catered for through individually crafted solutions.
Luke attempts to create legal solutions through negotiation and mediation wherever possible, thereby saving clients the time and expense of entering into formal court processes. He finds it most rewarding to see his clients succeed in their given endeavours, and takes a personal interest in encouraging his clients to achieve their goals.
Luke has also given his time and legal expertise over the years to a variety of community organisations, including Women’s Refuge and Citizens Advice Bureau.

DINO MONTEPARA
Dino is a professional and detail-oriented lawyer with more than 20 years of experience. He was admitted in the High Court of South Africa, and practiced as a director and partner of a top medium-sized law firm for over 10 years, before being admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in the High Court of New Zealand.
He thrives in energetic environments, and easily adapts to the ever-changing demands of the legal field. Dino is proficient in trial preparation, research, and drafting legal documents. He has extensive experience in family and divorce law as well as general and commercial litigation and all aspects of conveyancing. Dino takes on all cases with tenacity and an analytical mindset.
Dino, together with his wife and son, grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa before deciding to move to Northwest Auckland to settle down and make New Zealand their home, and then welcomed their daughter, born in NZ in 2024. Dino likes cooking and enjoys being out on the water and exploring the outdoors.

JOSEPH ROBINSON
Joseph is a recent graduate with a strong academic record and a passion for legal research. Since admission to the Bar, Joseph has rapidly built experience drafting legal documents and assisting with a wide variety of matters including relationship property disputes, protection order proceedings and employment matters.
Joseph brings professionalism from his three years of service in the New Zealand Defence Force. He holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Māori Studies and he is comfortable reading and writing in Te Reo Māori.
Joseph’s approach to legal work is fresh and enthusiastic. Outside of work, you’ll find Joseph surfing, walking in the mountains, or learning to dance. He spent two months in 2023 walking the length of the South Island from Cape Farewell to Bluff.

JEANETTE GLYNAN
Jeanette has worked alongside Luke at Kemp Barristers & Solicitors since 1999 as his Legal Assistant. She attends to a wide variety of legal services involving residential and commercial conveyancing, commercial leases, wills, powers of attorney, estate planning and administration, family trusts and general matters which relate to the operation of this practice. She has over 40 years’ legal experience.
One of the aspects of her job that is particularly satisfying is the wide range of services and solutions offered to clients and the commitment to building and maintaining a caring professional relationship with clients while observing the highest level of integrity and client care.
Outside of work, Jeanette spends as much time as possible with her family.

AMY GLYNAN
Amy joined the practice part time in 2020 as the firms Trust Accountant and Practice Administrator. She is currently studying and working towards completing her Legal Executive Diploma.
Amy comes to firm with a background in construction and project management, having spent the last 15 years running her family business. After her family business was sold in 2024, Amy joined the team fulltime.
Outside of work, Amy spends most of her time with her husband and son on their rural property, and has been a volunteer with the Kumeu Volunteer Fire Brigade since 2017.
